Although we did not visit the part we had to pay for (lack of time), we were able to appreciate the chateau's grounds and architecture. It's worth a stroll, for sure.

The museum has an impressive collection of art, paintings, articles from the ivory. There are also old maps, navigational instruments, etc. Unfortunately for me as a person not speaking French, the museum is useless, since 99% of the exhibits is described only in French. Nevertheless, it is worth spending EUR 4.50 and go there for a visit. A view from... More

Hello, we're sorry that you couldn't find any information in english in the museum. We are aware that this lack of translation is a problem for all of our foreigners visitors. Please be assured that we are trying to improve it. Since 2016 summer's, we added 5 pannels translated in english that are giving more details about the castle and... More

The castle is a museum with a good art collection, many 19th century famous artists spent time in Dieppe and the castle owns some great local landscapes by them. Great view of Dieppe and the seafront from the castle which is situated in a very lovely part of Dieppe. Worth the 4Euros

Three rooms of delicately carved ivory, a gallery of 19th Century art dipicting local scenes by good painters.. eg Sisley, Pissarro, Coubert. Camilee Sait-Saens's lounge including piano. A dozen cubist works by Braque. Wonderful views from the many windows. And, when I was there an exhibition of the works of Walter Sickert featuring at least 100 examples of is paitings... More

We have been here many times, it was still really very good. The carvings alone ate well worth a visit. The paintings are really good too. The Model shops of the line are amazing I had to sit and take in the work that went into these. All in all a wonderful experience.

Love this chateau. The insides are actually a museum so that wasn't quite as exciting. But you can walk up and around the Chateau without paying for the museum. Make sure you walk up and out through the drawbridge to the overlook. Great view of Dieppe and the English Channel.

We thought we were going to see an old chateau and learn about the history but it was mostly an exhibition by Sickert. Some maritime, ivory and painting exhibits too but nothing about the actual chateau which was a bit disappointing. Great view from the chateau overlooking the city. Passes an hour and only 4 Euros in.

Hello, the museum of Dieppe exist since 1863. It was moved inside the museum in 1923. It is a museum inside a castle and not a museum about the castle. We are aware about the lack of information about the castle itself and we are working on it. We recently added 5 pannels translated in english inside the walls that... More

If ivory carvings and model boats are your bag then this is a must. However there are also some excellent paintings in the art gallery part of the museum. Quite expensive for what it is.

The castle grounds offered splendid views of Dieppe. There is a panoramic art frame which you can use to frame a picture which is a good idea. The castle itself was a little disappointing as it only held artwork and was only in there for about 30 minutes. Fortunately I didn't have to pay as I was under 24 but... More

It is first thing you see when you enter beach promenade from any part. It is really charming. Beautiful views on it from beneath and nice panoramic views on the town from the castle self.
