Great day out

Would be fantastic here when weather was good as kids enjoyed the parks and beaches. Would invest in a van if i had the time of work to use it

Saw some gross rubbish and pollution foam on our last visit there last week. I haven't been in a while and can't remember if it's always been so dirty but I was disappointed

Well kept beach nice sand. Good toilets and plenty of car parking. At full season there is life guards. But always a but, do take your own picnic basket with plenty to drink. There is a very good cafe on the caravan site on your left just before the small roundabout, but not always open. Also a very small shop... More

I recently came across this beach on a drive round Co.Down. It was a very nice and clean beach, it was the middle of the summer and it was very busy with families.

Beautiful views over Carlingford Lough. Large sandy beach and walkway along the front. There are a couple of caravan sites here too and can be hired for holidays.

Myself and my partner went for a lovely little walk down the sea front. The beach is gorgeous and clean! Friends people greeted us and felt very welcome. Would be perfect in summer months

As a local we often go for walks here as a family. It is always clean and outside of the holiday period it is often completely empty. Young families are well catered for with lifeguards( holidays only) and designated bathing areas clearly marked. Plenty of parking and good clean toilet facilities. A good place for a walk /paddle/ build sandcastles... More

A lovely long beach with plenty of sand and grassy areas for the kids. It offers long stretch for beach walkers, can be stoned in parts. Sea clean, but can be prone to jellyfish. I've returned to this beach every year since childhood. On a warm sunny day it is fabulous. Parking more difficult than in years gone by. Neat... More
