Took 2 of my nephews to Peatlands Park yesterday. Not too many about the place. Great walks. Pity the children's train wasn't operational today as the children would have just loved to get a run on it. They did play for a while, at the train, in the play park and spent a little time at the ducks and they... More

I would have rated this place 5 stars . It is a beautiful place. Pitty about the highly abusive staff who work there. They hate anyone with dogs. Very lucky they didn't get punched !!!

Thought I'd add a few photos I've taken recently whilst dog walking in the park. The park has a few good paths some of which have recently been upgraded, if your careful and look down while walking on some of the pathways you will see on the verge a quantity of oak sapling beginning to show. There was a Woodpecker... More

We loved it. We walk our dogs here when the weather allows. Different length walks throughout. Including paths through the bog and forest.

Really enjoyed this walk, we done the long one at 5.5 mile. Only advice, wear walking boots or wellies and my white pumps are no longer white. This is also free and plenty of spaces for cars. There is a train for kids which was getting plenty of use. Picnic facilities and toilets are there too

A pleasant Country Park with a variety of walks to suit all abilities. Reasonably well maintained. Easy access from the M1, Ice cream vendor (not staff) very helpful. A few drawbacks, closes early, even on a public holiday when visitors want to make the best use of lighter evenings. Staff less than helpful or interested, when asked was told "what you... More
