We had made reservations to play in late November hoping conditions would allow for play. The staff had our clubs ready and the starter assured us that we could play even though a heavy frost had occurred overnight. Fortunately it was the start of a sunny day even with a 9:45 a.m. tee time. We were a group of four... More

From the drive in to the drive off this place exudes history and class and is worthy of holding any tournament and a challenge to all players whether amateur or professional.

Played here at the end of September and had a great day! Tough conditions, but a brilliant Harry Colt design. The whole experience was good, even though there were some minor construction works between holes 6 & 7, they didn't interfere with play. Play was a little slow, as there were quite a few players of lesser ability on the... More

My 2nd favorite course on our Irish Golf Odyssey. There was a bit of construction but otherwise the course was very nice. Our caddie Michael was decent but I've had better. The course was very playable from the white tees. They are constructing new holes for the 2019 OPEN so we had to deal with construction but it was minimal... More

Unfortunately the day i visited the greens had beenplugged and sanded. There was also some renovations going on and at tlmes it was difficult to find the next tee box. So i was disappointed consider ing the greenfees.

Played the valley links with a society. What a gem of a links course with testing rough and quick greens. This course more than holds it own despite being second to the dunluce course. Well worth a round if your looking links golf and can't afford the fees on the dunluce.

We played here today for the second time. It's still great they are getting ready for the 2019 Open, so there was a bit of re routing. Fairways and greens are very good. Off the fairway is very penal. This is not for hackers. We played behind a group of 8 Americans who played like snails and by the 5th... More

Played the Dunluce and Valley course and found it very enjoyable. When the wind is blowing the courses play very difficult as I found. The staff in the Pro shop were very helpful and friendly. The bar and waitresses were were again so helpful during my meal.

One of the finest tests of golf has got to be the fabulousness Golf experience at the Royal Portruse Dunluce course where the 2019 open is to take place. If the price puts you off don't worry the Portrush second course 'The Valley' or Rathmore is everything you could ask for as a test of your golf ability and enjoyment.... More

This ranks as one the must plays if your golfer. A true links course with views that fill your heart soul and camera. Dont be shy about joining the members for a drink in the club house after a rounds. It can be formal but definitely friendly. Dont just sit and watch it on TV as it will host the... More
