You can walk around the Reservoir, have a picnic or visit the little museum about the history of its construction which is very interesting. There is a little cafe also.

The Silent Valley got its name when the construction engineers moved in to create the reservoir. Prior to that it was called The Happy Valley. There is a visitor centre and an education centre. The surrounding valleys and Mourne Mountains are beautiful. A listed monument...More

Hidden gem!! Nestled in the middle of the mountains, peaceful and flat walk along the reservoir! Tarmac means it's suitable for everyone!

This place is one to visit while in Northern Ireland ! beautiful scenery and lovely walk also has a great play park and picnic benches throughout!

Yes certainly. Lots of walks for all ages and a very safe environment. Cafe there but take a picnic and make the most of what will be a lovely day.
