We took my Mum here as she loves history and none of us were disappointed. It's very impressive as you approach, stunning, beautiful, magical to think of all the history here. If your unsteady on your feet (as is my Mum) be careful as it's a little uneven in areas. But with a firm grip and arms linked we made... More

This is a stunning fortified medieval manor. It's on the side of a hill overlooking a river and it has terraced gardens with steps leading down towards the river. A delight. The house itself has a warm feel to it with wood panelling, old oak floorboards, a long gallery and best of all, a large kitchen barely changed for several... More

Me and my husband were lucky enough to go on a day when they served botanical cocktails in the garden. A wonderful place to view British history and relax. A wonderful cafe is on site.

Car park £3 for the whole day. Which is situated across the road from the Hall it is easy walking distance approx 3 to 5 minutes. £14.50 per adult cheaper for children. A stunning example of medieval architecture, untouched in its original form. Friendly knowledgable guides. A fine restaurant with a varied menu, reasonably priced. Not wheelchair friendly due to...
