It's a steep path to the church, but well worth making the effort. There's a beautiful view from the church door before you go inside. There are lots of interesting memorials in the church and a very ancient stone cross outside. We went to the Easter morning service and received a very warm welcome. Very uplifting.

I didn't get to go inside unfortunately, but it is still beautiful from a distance. The graveyard is extremely old.

Small church but very interesting . Worth the climb up the hill. Notice the kneeling pillows . Like many churches in England they are needlepointed, beautiful

It was worth the walk up the hill in December. The Christmas Tree exhibition was so interesting, and it added to the ambiance of this historic building. Very magical! They also have musicians throughout the day, so that made it absolutely perfect. Didn't stay long enough to try the cafe, but enjoyed the views over Bakewell from the doors!

The church architecture is very impressive. The church is on a hill behind the Rutland Arms Hotel and dominates the town scene.

We visited this church the first week in January, just when the Christmas Tree festival was being dismantled. It is a very impressive church for a small town, with plenty of historic monuments and furnishings to explore. Many of these are well explained in information boards, and there is an excellent short guide to ensure you see the interesting and... More

What a surprise! Expected standard xmas decorations. Instead, surrounded by a blaze of beautifully lit trees. Truly magical! Traditional pews. Shame we aren't here for xmas services

This is a very old church with many interesting artifacts. It is still a vibrant parish and it was fun to see the locals preparing for their Christmas tree festival next week. There are many interesting tombstones in the graveyard surrounding the church.
