A Challenging Climb

A stunning steep road through a tight valley. Challenging to walk up, even more challenging to cycle up.

If you want stunning scenery and a great walk look no further! This is truly beautiful landscape to roam in. Full of fascinating geology and in one of the post picturesque towns in England. Heaven!

This is a very nice drive, well worth the look and stop to explore, though parking is very expensive £4 per 2 hours. You can hike up to Mam Tor from here, apparently it takes about 45 min, also they do mine tour as well.

How anyone can rate this spectacular area at anything less than 5 is beyond me for 'any' reason and those that have rated it low due to bad 'weather', need to learn that you don't need sunshine, to appreciate a landscape as amazing as this. My first experience of this impressive pass was as a child and I've visited it... More

Drove down Winnat's Pass, spectacular scenery and an amazing place. The next day took in the views from Mam Tor across to the pass. Worth a visit!

We drove down this steep limestone gorge with sheep and walkers wandering everywhere towards Castleton. Nature at its very best!

Amazing sight. The drive through the pass is breathtaking. We drove from Hathersage up to the Mam Tor through this pass. It was definitely worth the journey.

One of my favourite spots in England, this place is stunning even though it was raining it was still amazing! Be careful of people walking on/near the road (The roads pretty narrow and steep!) Would love to go back one day!
