No visit to Matlock would be complete without a stroll around this beautiful park. Although we went on a cold wet day there were lots of families enjoying the play area.

We always call in this Park when in Matlock. This time we had our 6 year old grandson with us. The weather didn't allow many activities, but this is a great Public facility. The mini train and boats were closed due to the season.

This is a lovely park. There is a playground, water play area, ducks along the river, a cafe, etc. Beware about limited parking. You need to use the pat and display car parks dotted around town. Eg the car park behind Wilco.

A previous reviewer used the word amble and if ever this was the right word it’s here. A beautiful well equipped park and well done Derbyshire Council - there’s more public toilets in your area than most areas - and all spotless. I know it...More

council cut backs are starting to show on this park as there is need for a considerable amount of pruning to be done on all the borders and particually on the boating lake islands.

Always a pleasure to wander about the park, enjoy the floral displays and shrubs etc. Not missing the ducks of course. This time there were market stalls too. Oh, don't forget to call for a drink and bite to eat at the cafe.

if you're just looking for an amble, and to watch the many activities, it's free. I've been coming with various generations for fifty years, and I keep going back.
