The place has much more to offer. The walk to the top of falls itself is amazing. The ruins of the mills are seen. There are railings and support to hold over the steps so made it convenient for my aged parents. Would highly recommend...More

Secluded spot well worth finding with some interesting historical building remains and the lovely waterfall and stream. Went in a very dry August but the fall was still impressive - will have to go back after a rainy season. Go find it..

I can't believe this beautiful, tranquil place is on our doorstep. I was asking a friend about places to take the children in the 6week holidays and she suggested here. I took up her suggestion and we weren't disappointed. It's not since being in Malaysia...More

I found the falls online whilst looking at Matlock. It is lovely, quite steep steps in places but you can see the water falls at different heights. It's fine for dogs and good picture opportunities. We did manage to get a parking spot, but if...More

I walk my dog here at least twice a week as you can lose yourself in the tranquility. The mill ponds lead down into a cascade of waterfalls - peace and beauty all in one! No facilities - just beautiful nature! The lumsdale society boards...More

Excellent. A must visit if you are in the area. My favourite waterfall in the whole of the Peak District. Water isn't too strong so it's easy to paddle in also.More

We are glad that you enjoyed your visit. However, although tempting in this hot weather, we STRONGLY advise visitors against any paddling. The stones beneath the water are extremely slippery and mountain rescue volunteers had to be called out recently for a visitor who slipped...More

Wow. What a wonderful place this truly is. Walking alongside the waterfalls is gorgeous enough but when I got the the final one with my partner filming me I decided to go for a paddle. A truly refreshing moment.

Waling through all the derelict mill buildings was a bit like Lara Croft, just missing the people trying to kill us. Treasure was seeing the very pretty waterfalls and having a lovely walk. Would not say it is a place to spend all day but...More

If you park by the school and follow the river until you want to turn around and come back you will be able to retrace steps following the river back upstream.

There isn't a car park. It isn't an attractionh, it's a steep wooded valley. You'll need to park somewhere else, probably by the school at the top and walk. Take proper walking boots too.

Hi, if you try a site called walkingenglishman (it wont let me add the link) and search peak district I believe some local walks are on there. There are some lovely walks around Lumsdale, Tansley and Matlock areas.
