Had a lovely visit, the house is a living home for the Compton family. We bought a ticket to incorporate house and gardens. Disappointed there was no concessions for elderly, cost us £17 each which I think is expensive. Lunch was freshly made but this...More

Visiting in the early summer is so rewarding. The flowers in bloom, the borders spectacular, the various gardens beautiful and well kept. Good cafe, expensive but good stuff. Well worth repeated visits.

Having visited Newby Hall garden about 15 years ago it was great to see how much it had improved. The long herbaceous border is very good and will improve as the year progresses. Well maintained and a pleasure to walk around all parts.

4 families, 8 adults, 8 children and one lovely sunny day equals a fun filled fantastic outing! We arrived at 11:00 and left at 17:30 but still felt we didn't quite manage to see and do everything that was on offer. Immaculate gardens for the...More

Newby Hall is well worth a visit. We didn't visit the hall but went round the grounds and gardens and there was plenty to see and do. The gardens are very impressive. There are plenty of signs and an easy to follow map. The miniature...More
