This large archaeological park has some fascinating areas and an interesting museum but with minimal information as you wonder around you leave with more questions than answers. Definitely worth a visit and in desperate need of guides or guidebooks.

Although it is now a few miles in the countryside, this was a Roman harbour, used to transport marble from Carrara quarries to everywhere in the Roman empire.

No problem finding the site as we just put the address in the sat nav but the parking is just past the entrance. You will need to check the address and opening times on its website to make sure its open before setting off. Just...More

Followed the direction given on trip Advisor and got to the address and it wasn't there. It could of been swallowed up by the new shopping mall. Was very disappointed

Although the entrance fee was small all the subordinate museums around the site were closed and we could not get to see the amphitheatre.
