You appreciate the foresight and good judgement of whoever fought to save this building from the development that towers all around. A beautiful part of history. The good old cottage has resisted the accumulated years.Very well preserved, to the credit of the local government with help from dedicated people.

For those who like to step back a couple of hundred years and also a sanctuary from the city. House, from memory, open Wednesday (check web for hours) and only a couple of dollars entry. An interesting old building and good to see that it has been retained. It needs more in the exhibition because without furniture etc there is not much to see and the information is a little sparse. This cottage is more than a mueseum to me , you see its the place where my mother was born and grandparents lived.
