We were walking from The Kenmare Bay Hotel on pathway to Kenmare town centre. It is a very well surfaced and signed walkway. Cromwell's Bridge is signposted just off the pathway and near to the town. It is a must see because of its unusual...More

A very short walk from Main Street the bridge is located on Bridge Street & across the street from Lady's Well. This over 800 year old bridge is something to see. The bridge has a high arch shape with grass growing on it. Beautiful setting...More

Make the effort to discover this hidden gem. Imagine 11th century daily life as it crossed this bridge to and fro over the river. Not named for Cromwell but maybe for "cromael" or moustache because of its shape!

Gorgeous views - very clever planting nearby - nobody should leave Kenmare without visiting this bridge

Easily found, pretty and quaint. Its around 800 years old, the name Cromwell doesnt refer to Oliver Cromwell, but has morphed into that from an old Gaelic name. it has a very nice setting, its a free attraction, and its amazing to think that it...More

This bridge was right behind where we stayed at Cromwell Court. The kids loved scrambling up and down it. It was a really neat old bridge with lots of history.
