We generally don't bother with religious sites but actually enjoyed walking through this church. During the potato famine the nuns taught girls how to make lace so that they could earn some money. Examples are on view at the lace museum next to the tourist...More

This church sits beautifully at the top of the town, situated right off the central town square. Not much to see, but its worth a five minute stroll on the way to or from dinner.

Nice to walk around the village square, have some fresh homemade soup, shop a little, then, walk into a beautiful church where serenity reigns.

I went to the holy cross church to light candles for my mum and dad,My mum and dad both came from kenmare,They both sadly past away last year with in ten weeks of one another.
