Welcome to Dingle Horse Riding. Set on the dramatic and beautiful west coast of Ireland, we specialise in two hour to week long riding holidays for experienced riders, taking in all the beauty and exhiliration of the mountains and beaches the Dingle Peninsula has to offer. We also offer one hour mountain rides for novice/beginner riders. Our horses are mostly Irish sporthorses, with some draught, cob and appaloosa, ranging from 14hh to 17hh. We pride ourselves in having happy, well-cared for and well turned out horses, friendly knowledgeable guides and great routes designed for both fantastic riding and views. Beginner/novice riders can only be taken on the 1 hour mountain ride. Only riders intermediate/advanced experienced in the English style of riding, able to post/rising trot and ride two point/forward seat in canter can be taken to the beaches. Riders will be assessed in the arena before leaving the yard, and during the one hour ride. In the interests of safety, and at the discretion of the guide, riders judged to be beginner/novice or inexperienced in an English style of riding will not be taken to the beach.

As beginner riders, we did a two hour tour which was a good amount of time. We loved combining a horse ride with amazing views, definitely a highlight during our time in Ireland. I feel bad saying that the staff could be better because most...More

Having only ever ridden horses on touristy trail rides in the US, my experience at Dingle Horse Riding felt like a much more authentic riding experience. Although there is a "trail," the horses often find their own way up and down the hill, and the...More

My sister and I chose the Shamrock Trail and booked easily online. We were paired perfectly with Cookie and Simba. My sister has zero experience with riding so we wanted to take it slow. The ride up to the hills was very rocky but our...More

We rode the horses up to the ridge between the valley and the marina. While I was hoping to gallop the beach the views from up there were extraordinary. We were able to trot a couple times, just hoping for more. Still an unforgettable experience...More

My only complaint is about booking. During the winter they switch from a 10:30am and 2:30pm rides to just a 12pm ride. Although this is on the site while booking 12pm wasn't an option. Also in the signature of someone I emailed it listed to...More

We did the 1.5 hr winter trek. Absolutely fantastic. Staff were knowlegable, friendly, and experienced. The horses were clearly well looked after, groomed, not overworked. I've done the one hour trail ride at Killarney Riding Stables and was very disappointed but THIS place, wow, I...More

Read the poor reviews here! I wish I had. My friend and I, experienced riders who both owned horses years ago, had a horrible time here. The woman (Karen?) in charge of the ride decided before we stepped on a horse that we were not...More

I was fortunate to have a guide and myself the day that I went - it was windy and cool but a fantastic trail with splendid views. I hadn't been on a horse in a while, but was instantly comfortable with their staff and the...More

Without any doubt! I have an incredible experience. Trails on the mountain or on the beach, are both breathtaking. Thanks to Susan, Karen and the whole professional and kind team running these stables.

My boyfriend and I did the Shamrock Trail about 2 weeks ago and it was my favorite part of the entire trip! Neither of us had ever ridden a horse before but the staff made us feel comfortable and the views on the ride were...More

I am an experienced rider in western style - how difficult is it to switch over to English for an afternoon rental (without prior lessons?) Would like to hear from anyone that has only ridden Western prior to their horseback riding adventure English style?

My wife rode predominately western until recently. She could trot//canter/post in English style when we took this tour. She did the faster ride and got up to a full gallop. She did feel a little less secure due to the... More
How long was your ride? My niece and I want to ride on the beach, but probably don't have time for more than a 2-hour ride. I wasn't sure if shorter treks went to the beach.

Hi, the ride was about 2 2 2/12 hours so I' sure they would accommodate. We loved it and I'm sure you and your niece will too!
I am considering doing a 6 night/7day trail ride first week in September. I would like to know more about 1. The accommodation: Do rooms have ensuite bathrooms? Hot reliable showers? 2. Quality of food to expect 3. Will other riders be experienced? 4. the horses we ride Thank you
