A very interesting place for people with interest in nostalgia. The lighthouse has a history of events in world war two. Nearby are religious monuments.

A wonderful stop off with more breath taking scenery typical of the West of Ireland - definitely worth it

We drove to Blacksod and walked the pier, there is not a lot to do down there but the scenery is lovely and there is a nice walk along the waterside.

We visited the old lighthouse on a tour around the south of peninsula, WW2 buffs will enjoy seeing the D-day weather forecast memorial plaque. Don't miss the spiral stone sculpture at Falmore and the fantastic white sand beach at Glosh if you're in the area.
