Beautiful area and worth a walk if the weather is good. Views of the north west coastline and clear blue water.

This is one of the best things to do in the Belmullet area. The views are spectacular and on a good summer day you might spot a pod of dolphins or even whales from the clifftop. Make sure to wear hiking boots or wellies as parts of the trail are quite wet. Rain gear also advisable as the weather changes... More

A heavy storm blew up and we had tea and scones and lost the opportunity to hike along the sea. But it was very interesting to wander through Belmullet, a charming Irish village. Folks have spent a bit of money adding art works around this area, including the bridge in Bellmullet. It was added because the main street ended at... More

Unfortunately we didn't finish this walk as on the day, it was blowing a gale, slippery and muddy with squally showers coming through. My husband wanted to push on but I bailed out of the challenge. What we did see was amazing and would be great on a calmer day and with track a little drier. Would still recommend highly... More

We did this walk in November and while the scenery is breathtaking it is not so relaxing when the ground is very mucky and waterlogged. I think it would be better after a spell of dry weather. Well worth it for the views.

Sheep roam the highway and byways and form a lovely relax part of the scenery. They have no cares in the world and have a soothing effect as you drive along the roads.

Our completion of this loop walk was probably the highlight of our trip and the one we still talk about! It was misty, windy and mucky but it was also amazing and well worth the challenge! The views are spectacular and to watch the huge Atlantic waves crashing ashore was breathtaking! Would highly recommend.

We headed out for walk, took approx 1 hour 15 mins. Views were stunning, really beautiful place! Would highly recommend a visit. Ground slightly damp in places so take old trainers or boots (at least have a change of socks in the car!)

If you plan easy walking and have little time, this is your choice. Circular route, takes about one hour with continuous walking but you will want on several occasions to stop and enjoy the scenery - so give it 90 minutes at least. Easy hiking, no steep ascent/descent but waterproof footwear is a must because in many places (especially after... More
