What most people don't know the stained glass windows in this cathedral were made in Germany they are considered one of the finest examples in the world and are actually priceless

I went into the grounds of the cathedral to buy a mass bouquet for someone who is ill. The lady in the card shop was one of the rudest people of have ever come across. We went to mass at this cathedral which is beautiful and well worth a visit. It is being restored but has beautiful features.

St. Muredach's Cathedral is the Cathedral Church of the Diocese of Killala is located in Ballina on the banks of the River Moy. It was built in the Victorian Gothic style and building work began in 1827. we took a few minutes to reflect at the cathederal, and we never fail to be in awe of its beauty It has a quiet stillness that gives a calmness within a busy day The building is in renovations at the moment, But everything continues on

We have visited the Cathedral for several family events and the way the services that have been conducted is well set up and well run. The Cathedral is well cared for and has lovely flowers on display. The priests are very friendly and ready to explain anything you don't understand.
