I was in Kinsale recently for an event related to the Lusitania. Dermot led a group of about 15 of us (including a bus tour from Matthews Coaches in Dundalk) around Kinsale. It was a great mix of information with the right amount of humor. Dermot is a font of knowledge on the town. I would highly recommend that you... More

Thanks for coming to Kinsale for the Lusitania event and it was great to hear that you enjoyed the walk. The photographs of the town, especially of the Lusitania story are always very popular....the old saying that one picture is worth a thousand words ! More

We had a group of 10 family members. The tour was beautiful and entertaining. Dermot was great. He even sent us a follow-up email once we made it back to the US. With additional information. Great tour. Glad we got to go.

Our group of 21 took the town walk with Dermot Ryan. He was a font of knowledge and presented it in a very entertaining manner. Since dinner that evening was on our own, he was asked for recommendations. He pointed out several restaurants on our walk and described their food specialties. This was in addition to the Kinsale history. His... More

So glad we decided to do this as we'd have missed all the wonderful history of Kinsale other wise. Dermot was informative but entertaining at the same time and seemed to make a connection with all members of the group. Extremely good valu at €5

A wonderful way to learn about the history of this picturesque village. Dermot was engaged and engaging with the group, knew where to seek shelter from the weather. It was a great introduction to Kinsale

Thanks for the review as it is great to hear how visitors enjoy the special way we show the history of our town. The weather is usually great,...we claim to live on the Riviera of Ireland (!) but there is always a plan B, just in case !!! More

My husband and I where waiting for another heritage walk to begin and ran into Dermot about to start his walking tour. We feel lucky that we didn't wait the 45 minutes for the other tour. The walking tour was very informative and helped us understand so much about Kinsale and it's place in Ireland's history. Dermot is extremely knowledgable... More

Full time banter and jovial entertainment from our guide Dermot. Visited in May 2016 from Scotland( although parents both from Ireland). Irish and proud of it! Thanks for your great review as it is very important that people enjoy history as it is usually seen as dull and boring just listening to someone for an hour or so but this is how the photos and maps bring the town to life and visitors can really enjoy a visit to the past. More

Thanks again for your comments and taking the walk. Kinsale is really a great town to learn of Irish history and enjoying doing so as so much of our history is national history. More
