One of my tour group's highlights of week long travel through County Galway. Martin O'Hara is a fantastic guide, family historian, entertaining presenter, and lover of the land and of Irish's history. We were extremely impressed with him and the Centre itself. A truly unique...More

Not much to see hear at all. Not suitable for young children. Shouldn’t really be charging to enter maybe just accept donations

Thought this was THE Connemara History Center, but it is rather a private enterprise with reconstructed buildings. Note.. we really don't know how people lived 4000 years ago - but I guess they made an educated guess. Price of admission, a staggering 8 Euro, includes...More

We had a great visit to the history center today. We enjoyed a nice lunch followed by a wonderful tour of Dan O’Sheas house and a turf demonstration. It was quite fascinating.

Nice stop off to kill and hour or two. Staff were all friendly and we enjoyed looking around and walking to the cottage. Did not see many animals or have a tractor ride however. Worth a visit as it is not overly expensive

We stopped here for tea and were charmed by the tour. Pulled by a huge tractor and comfy in an enclosed wagon, we made our way to the top with stories and singing by our guide, the local farmer. The cottage of Dan O'Hara and...More
