Crystal clear waters, coral beach. Beautiful spot for swimming. No toilets which is a shame. Limited parking but so worth the stop off.

Stopped here on a drive to Roundstone from Clifden. Amazed by the deep blue water and white sand. Spent a couple of hours looking at shells and just relaxing taking in the view. Only saw a handful of other visitors the whole time (unlike Dog's...More

Visually the waters look tropical blue and the sand white. A great place to stop and picnic. Always a stop we do anytime we are in the area.

This is a stunningly beautiful bay, with white coral sand and turquoise sea. Well worth a stop to take it all in.

We stopped off at Mannin Bay, after an enjoyable afternoon in Cliftden, on our way round the Roundstone loop. It has fabulously white sand and turquoise green sea, which reminded us of holidaying in the Caribbean! The beach itself had lots of amazing shells and...More

We stopped off on a loop drive around Connemara. This is a beautiful beach with a ton of seashells. There were people swimming but we are from Florida so getting in the water was out of the question, lol. This is a definite stop.

The coral strand, as it's known locally, is a really unusual beach - made of algal limestone and shells - it's a great place to hunt for pretty shells: winkles, whelks, lots of bivalves and if you look hard some tiny cowries. The water is...More

If the beaches at Mannin were in Cornwall or Spain they would be thronging with people, the fields would be full of hotels and it would be hell. Luckily (?), you have to really want to go to Connemara (given that now means a drive...More
