One of the largest beaches in County Cork. Perfect place to walk the dog or take the kids for beach fun. An estuary flows into the sea along the side of the beach making it is safer than a regular beach for younger children. It...More

After a visit to Mizen head we returned via the "scenic" route. Less than 5k from Mizen head is Barleycove Beach. This is a blue flag beach, unspoilt and natural as well as clean. A wide, shallow and clean river meanders from a salt marsh...More

What an amazing stretch of beach. Only thing missing is bins. (Esp for dog poo) went a number of times and Every Time is was different. Dogs loved it. Part of wild Atlantic way. The floating bridge wasn't built, so missed the ocean view.

Just spectacular. Cross on the floating bridge to get there (kids adore it) and enjoy the soft, flat sands. Obey the lifeguards, who will ensure a safe haven for your family. Have a lovely day, scenery, sea, relaxation. No toilets unless you visit one mobile...More
