This was a return visit for me in order to ride again with Willie Leahy, owner of Dartfield, an equestrian center which provides cross country riding/jumping and fox hunting opportunities. Willy is a horseman extraordinaire! He and his staff were very accommodating and the horses were very tolerant of their riders.

Great horseriding - lovely horses, handy location, friendly staff and the museum is worth a look. Nice choice of fences for those to want to jump.

This vacay of a lifetime was incredible-- riding in a fox hunt, riding 6 hours a day, jumping cross country every day--all different jumps on all different horses. Not for the inexperienced but the funnest thing you'll EVER DO if you ARE experienced. The museum is authentic and you really get a feel for the experience and horsemanship of Willy... More

Went here because my husband is into horses and blacksmiting. It was a nice visit. The museum is a bit run down but was interesting none the less. We didn't go horse riding so i'm sure that would have made it more intriguing. A little play are might have been handy too.

We visited the museum as a group from a special school. All of the students enjoyed it as well as the adults. It was very reasonably priced and the staff especially Andrea were so accommodating regarding special dietary requirements and were well prepared for our arrival. Thanks you so much for a great visit! 😊

This place left me shocked and embarrassed for those running it. It holds little resemblance in reality to what is depicted in their promotional material. Go see for yourself. Plastic dogs await you at the door. Museum exhibits are broken, covered in dust, cobwebs and dead insects. The stables are filthy & horses ungroomed. Something is seriously wrong here.

My husband ( a real horse enthusiast and owner) has travelled twice to Ireland from Canada ...last time with my daughter............to ride at Dartfield. Both times for a full week. I came along as a tourist this time but can see why they both rave about Dartfield. The owner, Willy Leahey is such a special person. One in a thousand... More

Spent a wonderful day at the museum and riding at the facility. This was at the end of our fantastic week riding with Willie around the area. Definitely a must see if you like horses or are interested in the history of the area!
