The Rose of Innisfree boat tour left from in front of Parkes Castle so this was the perfect opportunity to explore both on the same trip - and I am so glad I did. Although small, this is definitely worth visiting...

We visited this castle today after the Marble arch caves. It's an enchanting place that gets the mind going on how things used to be. The kid's were given a little treasure hunt to do while walking around and they loved it.

Excellent exhibits and the guided tour was especially informative and well worth waiting around for it to start.

This well preserved castle in way off the beaten path, but the drive itself is wonderful and scenic. They are remodeling the courtyard so we could only look at it from a distance. But when done it will be a much better tour stop. They...More
