Staying in a house not far from Oughterard and decided to check out the local golf course. It looked easy from the road but this is one difficult course with 12 par 4's, 2 par 5's and 4 par threes. A little back and forth to start with but the course is in outstanding condition, with fair but difficult-to-read greens... More

I'm not a golfer but if you want a good meal you will struggle to do better in Connemara. It's an 18 hole course which is well recommended among my golfing friends.

Even with our group of 6 (2 groups of 3) we were accomodated, offered 6 rental sets and welcomed on short notice. Conditions were ideal, play was swift and we even saw the sun a time or two. We enjoyed our round and only wished we had time for lunch as the clubhouse looked very inviting. We would recommend this... More

My husband and I spent a gorgeus afternoon on this lovely course. Well planted with gorgeous trees and well taken care of greens and fairways. Watch the rough, they like it long in Ireland.

I don't play golf, so this is not a club review, but a lunch one for a change. Two of us ate there last Friday, we were passing about 1:30pm and saw the sign saying 'non members welcome'. We drove in, it looks like a really lovely club. The club house is large and while the décor is quite 'golf... More
