This park offers quiet walks through the woods. We walked next to a flowing river and enjoyed the ducks floating downstream. Large boulders are covered in moss and ferns. Wish we had more time to do additional hiking.

Wonderful trails in Glengariff nature reserve and there are more walks around Pooleen Woods although we didnt manage these. No matter the weather these are worth a visit. Plenty car park spaces with a variety of entrances. Suggest taking a map with you.

Brilliant and Safe location to bring young hiking groups. We covered 20 Km and climbed to Barley Lake which was challenging. Just beware of Bad weather descending.
