I blame my brother. I blame him with every blamey thing I can think of. The secretive, hornswoggling mooncalf has been living around the corner from this haven of peace and delight for about 30 years and this is the first time he's ever brought me there. Can you believe it. You know when you chance upon a bar and... More

Hi MIssDillie, Well, I don't think we've ever received a review as poetic as this one- thank you. We are delighted that our little bar brought you back to your fonder college years and made you a nicer, warmer, self! Make sure to come back for a pint of Guinness again soon :) Best, Aisling More

Simply put....one of the Best Pubs around! The real fires, the sound staff, the old back living room, the trad sessions or the live stage next door....it has something for everyone!

This is by far the best Irish pub you could happen upon. The pub is setup to have traditional music on one side and more modern themed music on the other. Something for everyone. A good selection of beers to be tried. I highly recommend trying some of the wicklow wolf beers. Not sure if they do food, but I... More

Hi Live2Eat, Thank you for your kind review - we are delighted that you like the Harbour Bar's setup. I'm happy to confirm that we do do food. We sell home-made toasties in-house and we also have the recently opened Fish Bar outside. Looking forward to seeing you again, Aisling More

This place is a little gem. Off the beaten track. Plenty of (free) live music. Many different parts to the Harbour Bar. Young and old meet up there. The Lonely Planet was totally correct.

My two best friends meet people here a lot on nights out, I personally don't see the attraction as the place is filthy. The bathrooms need a good scrub, the picnic benches are in need of a paint job and the carpet and couches are three worn. The staff are also very unfriendly. The best part about it is the... More

One corner trad music. The other end some really funky big band fun! (Think "I feel good" and "Sex on fire" with trumpet, trombone, and sax, perc, bass, and 🎸 ,really good vocalist!) I envy the girl that had her 40th with the girls on the night. Something for everybody. Large outdoor area for some warmer nights. Full to the... More

Walking down the beach to the Harbour Bar which was recommended by Geoff at Rosedale House. It was rated the best Pub in the world as rated by Lonely Planet and I have to agree. Daniel the son who was restoring old buildings on the lovely property. I arrived a few days before family and everyone made me feel welcome.
