Great place but a shame it had to close down

Brought the family here several times when it was still operational, brilliant being able to be surrounded by so many exotic species of butterfly, kids loved it too.

I loved this place and visited it so many times, its a pity that it is now closed. Perhaps someone might take it over an open it again it was a truly unique place.

This is a small attraction but a lovely day out for the family especially in good weather. The butterflys are indoor and the staff give expert information. A gentle and informative day out.

Wow. Only heard of this farm very recently, what a pity it is now closed for good. Very interesting, well organized, something very special about butterflies fluttering around your head, has to be experienced to be appreciated.

Wonderful little Butterfly farm. Where on entry your met by stick insects and other wonderful creatures. We met the lady who runs it who couldn't have been nicer. Spent time telling us things about the individual butterflies and helped me to get an amazing photo. Set in beautiful gardens where it's well worth bringing a picnic on a sunny day.

This place has been on my wishlist for quite some time so when I heard it was closing down we drove to Kildare with the kids. I was not disappointed (albeit disappointed it was closing down) The whole experience was magical. The first room had snakes, spiders insects and a fantastic display of butterflies, insects and moths. Great, really great... More

Sadly, this is the last year that it will open. This is a fantastic display of butterflies. There were many butterflies of different sizes and colours flying around the hot house. They also have a display of exotic insects and spiders. All the staff were very informative and answered any questions we had.

Loved this wonderful collection and chatting to the fascinating Foxes who have made this hobby available to the Irish people for the last 30 years educating thousands of children and adults in such a colourful and entertaining way. So sad to see it close tomorrow due to escalating costs and shame on the Irish government for not assisting such a... More

This place is like a little piece of heaven. It was a little hard to find but I'm useless with directions haha!! From the minute I arrived the staff were so nice.I don't like insects so avoided the first room but the butterfly flying around me was amazing :)

This was a lovely place to visit with our little one. She was able to get up close to loads of different butterflies and had a chance to rub a stick insect (but declined)! The staff were great, really friendly and informative. As well as butterflies, there were scorpions, tarantulas, iguanas, snakes and geckoes to see. It's a small place... More
