We went to the zoo today, I was saddened to see how overgrown and rundown it was. The animals have very small enclosures, and of an animal could look sad, they mainly do. The poor wolf just spent the whole time walking up and and...More

Thank you for your feedback. The overall look of the Zoo is important as you say but we do like to leave large areas uncut since this encourages native wildlife. It might seem messy but it is better for the environment. Animal Welfare is our...More

A brilliant small zoo. Animal welfare is obvious from the large natural enclosures that all contained lots of things to keep their occupants engaged. Take your time. Check feeding and talk times and you will learn as well as being entertained. Staff and volunteers are...More

it can take about an hour to walk around whole zoo, but I tend to spend lots of time at one enclosure, so you can take as long as you require.

When I visited recently with a friend we found the selection of meals limited and chose in the end not to eat there at all. It appeared that a lot of families took a packed lunch to eat at the many areas in the grounds.
