This is a lovely nature reserve managed by the RSPB. There's lots of bird life and some really scenic views. It can be really busy especially thanks to its new found Autumnwatch fame. Although there is great bird life I found it was mostly some way from the hide which was a little disappointing. If you want to see Poole... More

Arne is a small reserve with some excellent views across water and marshes with an abundance of bird life and near guaranteed views of herds of Sika deer. We were lucky to see large numbers of spoonbill, pintail and avocet plus lots and lots of waders and other wildfowl. You can easily walk around the reserve in two hours along... More

Brilliant day, which is saying a lot as it rained on and off for most of the day, my Wife and I visited Arne over 20 years ago and it has changed a great deal in that time. Sika deer appear out of the woods and stay around for you too get a look at them. Brilliant hide which looks... More

Having seen Autumnwatch filmed at Arne decided this was a place to visit. Managed to pick the right day to go (in between the wind and rain of Storm Angus) and had a lovely time wandering round the reserve. The cafe was also a must for a meal and a drink. Can definitely recommend a visit.

We thought we couldn't visit RSPB Arne whilst holidaying in the area because we had our dogs with us. So we were very pleasantly surprised to find that dogs on lead are welcome, very unusual for an RSPB reserve. We were made very welcome by staff/volunteers in the car park welcome centre. We made a brief visit to the cafe... More

A stunning reserve with great views over Poole harbour. The new cafe was pretty good. We especially liked the chocolate Tiffin! We saw a wide variety of birds including firecrest and great white egret and a marsh harrier. Lovely autumn colours.

A very pleasant reserve. Lots of trails to walk. We saw loads of sika deer. There is an information kiosk in the carpark which wasn't open when we first arrived but the young man was very helpful as this was our first visit. There is also a cafe and shop on site. Sit in the garden and watch the birds... More
