Pat was unavailable but Sam took us on the walk and was wonderful. We weren't really sure what we were getting into but knew we wanted to see the cliffs beyond the visitor center so we showed up. It was amazing. It was breathtaking. Words...More

Not for the faint of heart -literally- Pat Sweeney was not available, but his assistant Charlie and Sam were. As a more "mature" couple who probably should have exercised more before this excursion, the trip was breathtaking -again literally. We came prepared with water and...More

While it is true you can walk this amazing trail with out Pat Sweeney, it would not be possible for you to do so, with out Pat Sweeney. He, and his passion for his country and his boyhood home, are the reason this trail exists...More

We started the hike right in Doolin and went to the tower and back - took us about 5 hours round trip. Such a beautiful hike with the cliffs to one side and fields with sheep, horses and cows on the other!

Our B&B owner told us to go park at Nagles (2 euros) and walk along the coast. Great suggestion. Within about 1 hour you can see cliffs with very limited people. We went at 6pm, which was a great time to go - especially for...More

If you can walk, this is the way to see the Cliffs of Moher. Park your car (or get a ride) to the parking area by O'connors Pub in Doolin. Walk back across the bridge, turning to your right and up the small road until...More

Highlight of our trip! Can't imagine seeing the Cliffs any other way. Might not be for everyone, strenuous, but so worth it.

Cliffs of Moher are amazing. Easy but uphill walk to wonder sights of crashing ave and soaring cliffs.

We did not go to the trail from the visitor's center. We contacted Pat Sweeney, the local farmer who is heading up the full construction of the train south from Doolin, and he was our guide. I'm not sure if he's up for it... More
