A Stunning Underworld Experience, the Great Stalactite at Doolin Cave is one of Europe's most compelling cave attractions. It is a truly unique and breathtaking experience:- the largest stalactite in the Norhern Hemisphere. Doolin Cave has a Farmland Nature Trail, which is FREE for its visitors. We have unusual breeds of chickens, sheep, cattle and alovely pygmy goat called Minnie, with her little kid called Vincent Van Goat or Vinnie for short. We have also planted lots of native trees and shrubs and wildflower meadows. Our cafe serves lovely fresh salads, soups, breads and homemade cakes We are very proud to announce that we have recently been awarded a Gold Award from Ecotourism Ireland. Hurray!

We are a little spoiled, we've been to Carlsbad Caverns so it's not really fair to compare this cave to Carlsbad.

This cave is well worth visiting. The visitor centre is nice with friendly staff. The stalagmite itself it awesome and is the second largest in the world. The way it glows is unreal. How cool is that and it's here in Doolin in a cave. Really enjoyed the tour and would recommend anyone to go see it.

The Doolin Cave was spectacular and guide was very personable and informative. We randomly heard of this cave and went to visit. The stalactite was amazing and it was amazing to be able to see one of the largest in the world! There were lots of steps, which were manageable, but they were muddy and wet so I would advise... Interesting tour given and a lovely attraction. A lot of steps 120 so anyone that is not comfortable with stairs should be aware. No problem once right footwear is worn. It's a lovely attraction

Was told by a local to go see the cave and the giant stalactite. It was really cool. The stairs in and out were a bit difficult but manageable. It was fun and out of the ordinary for tourist activities!

My wife and I visited Doolin Cave recently. We dropped in to the centre to have a cup of coffee and when we saw the photographic display of the cave in the visitor centre we decided to take the guided tour. It was a fascinating experience. The climb down into the cave was really interesting but when we entered the... More

We were lucky enough to visit the caves just before the end of season. There are quite a lot of stairs involved and they are steep so a certain level of fitness is required. The cave area itself is low in some areas and while you wear a hard hat the bumps (yes, even at 5foot nothing and squatting I... More

I was here in off-season and only had 4 other people with me. The guide says groups can be as large as 20, so another 'win' for anyone coming in off-peak times. Note: they are only open Sat/Sun Nov.-March so might want to know that, and plan accordingly. I'm not one for a lot of these tourist trap stops, and... More

We were there on october 2016. We booked the same day, for the last guided tour of the day. We were really lucky and get a "private" tour, so there's nobody else waiting for the tour. the cave is really interesting, and really easy to get in and out. Nothing to be afraid of ;) our guide was so nice... More
