This hidden attraction was located inside a traditional Chinese village, beside seaside and there is a Chinese temple...You can walk and see the sunset while waiting for the place to be lit on....

Instagram worthy spot
Aug 2018 • Family
This garden lights up at night. Don’t bother going in the day. There is parking in the area. If you have a half hour to spare it is good for a quick visit. The avatar atmosphere is instagram worthy.

Worth a look
Mar 2019
Came in to have a look whilst in the area, it was quite a good sight, especially after dark when they had the place lit up. some great carvings on the beach area, and the gardens were beautifully presented. A good place to wander around for an hour or so.

Old temple
Apr 2019 • Couples
This is a very old temple. We heard of it because it is very popular during Chinese New Year, especially on the Lunar Day 15 where there will be a huge celebration and then there is a prediction for the rest of the year which is usually very accurate. The temple has a beautiful seaside location.

My Family has been there few times, the place is quiet and peaceful especially at noon time but today we have an unpleasant experience with the parking guardian (old guy) .
We have arrived there afternoon around 2pm, there are only 3 to 4 car is park at the parking bay in front of tokong and we didn't see the parking guardian.
When we want to leave the place at 3pm the parking guardian suddenly shown up in front of our car (all of us already inside the car and want to leave) and ask for the parking fees. He even grab my driver door and block my car and don't let us go. At the end I have to pay him Rm5.

We have no problem for the parking fees but just feel like it was unfair that the parking guardian is not doing the job at the first place and shown up just for collect the fees.

Quiet, unassuming temple, with a lovely garden and a great view of Georgetown across the bay
Feb 2019 • Friends
We visited the temple in Jan 2017 and again on Feb 15, 2019. Located in Tanjong Tokong about 7km from Georgetown, Penang, the temple was established by 5 Hakka clans in 1799. It is small, unassuming and not as busy as the more famous temples in Georgetown. But it more than makes up for its lack of patronage and ornate structure with a great view of Georgetown across the bay, and a lovely and tranquil garden at its back; and the beach is easily accessible from the garden. While we were there, we only encountered one other visitor in the garden. It is a perfect place to visit for someone who needs a break from the hustle and bustle of Georgetown.

Marvelous, a display of lights and imagination
Nov 2018 • Family
Never know that at the corner of the island by the beach exist a world of Avatar. The display of colourful lights giving an experience of imaginative world you can't imagine unless you are there. Looking at the place through picture will not gives you anything close to the actual experience.

Not worth it
Sep 2018 • Couples
The so-called Avatar Garden is very small. You only walk up a small hill and walk back down. Road to the temple is very congested, parking haphazard and you still need to pay RM5 for it. Overall only worthy if you have nothing better to do at night in Penang.
