It´s located in a private property, but it´s not expensive to visit. At the same property, you can visit three waterfalls (almecegas I, almecegas II and São Bento). Great tip: Go in the end of the day, so you can avoid the crowds and enjoy the view.

Alto Paraiso is the waterfall paradise and this one is one the the famous and nicest one. Very easy walking acces from the parking a few minutes to walk to the look out point right in the from of the waterfall. Latter on you can walk to the top op the waterfall and swim there ou downstairs.

When visiting chapada dos veadeiros this place is a must go. The almecegas 1 is beautiful and has a great a natural pool to swim. Particularly I though that the almecegas 2 is not worth the visit (not so beautiful and full of people smoking and drinking). The tirolesa "voo do gaviao" is amazing, I strongly recommend for all ages.... More

This was my second time at Chapada and I simply could not miss Almecegas I and II. The first one is pretty impressive and you may enjoy both top and bottom parts. It is a medium/light trail totally worth it. Almecegas II is an invitation for a refreshing swim, as my sister said, it looks like a wonderful garden.

Almecegas I is better and bigger than Almecegas II. Very nice view and impressive heights. The pool before the waterfall is accessible too and very nice to swim and view.

It is nice place to take picture and swimming. The place is located in a private property, so it would have better condition for hiking and safer trails to go up to the waterfalls.

There are to Almecegas falls. Almecegas I is a 1 km hiking, Almecegas II is a 200 m hike. The first is very nice, the second does not add. I would only go to 2 if you are not keen on hiking. Overall, Almecegas is only worth if you already did other stuff like the park and couros, or if... More

We went to Almecegas I . It was a decent hike but not too strenuous. When you get close the pth split to "piscinas" and the other way continues to get a view of the waterfall. We walked to see the view from afar and it was breathtaking. One the way back we went to the piscinas and spent a... More
