This beach is well organised, picturesque and beautiful. I last came here as a teenager and it was even more beautiful than I remembered. The palm forest is gorgeous and the sea is crystal clear. A short walk up the side of a mountain provides...More

It's a wonderful beach, i absolutely loved it! I had very low expectations when we decided to visit it, because most of the reviews pointed out the fact that it's overcrowded. Even it was the last week of july and we visited it midday, it...More

Avoid the August crowds if possible, but still one of the most beautiful beaches we've ever visited. Excellent day trip from Agios Nikolaos or Sitia, but if you're coming from further west, stay the night nearby. Parking costs 2,5€ and sun beds 4,5€ each, a...More

Very nice beach, with a lot of palm trees but it is so commercialised and crowded. Neighbouring Itanos beach and Erimoupolis beach are much better choice for people who prefer nature beauty with no crowd.

let's face it, if you're in eastern crete you need to go here - you've read the guides which tell you the same, so why are you still reading. p.s. make sure you get there before about 11/11:30

Between palm trees, you can take a swim and rest on the shadow (or not). The best place to take a nap, and then have a wonderful cocktail!

A must to be visited. It is quite a long driving there, but roads are quite OK. Parking close to the beach. Nice shadow below the palm tree. Great views, nice swimming. What to wish more. Just to add. It is worth to go up...More

This is probably the most unique beach in Eastern Crete, mainly due to the Palm forest behind it, it's likes nowhere to be found in Europe. The beach itself is a truly nice one, with one of the best types of sand I have encountered....More
