In honour of Mary Magdalene, so you know it's chalk full of symbolism when you look. This became an unexpected highlight on our way to Hadrian's wall. Take every opportunity to look around the Priory too.

We were visiting Lanercost Priory and entered the church as it was the nave of the priory originally.
It was free to enter but donations are accepted.
It was very peaceful and there were several old stained glass windows.
