The San Guillermo church in Bacolor, Pampanga was built by the Augustinian Friars in 1576, along with the founding of the town of Bacolor, whose patron saint was Saint Guillermo. The church has stood since, even through the 1880 earthquake and the 1990 Mt. Pinatubo...More

This church was covered in lava on the lower levels. It still stands. The lava cooled and raised the level of the lower floors. This is a nice quick stop on your way to other sites/

A must visit in Pampanga, you get to see how this church is taken care of despite being half buried from lahar. Old but beautiful interiors, there is a gallery where you can see the church before Mt Pinatubo errupted. Great experience with family.
