About
A unique chance to go sheep trekking in the Brecon Beacons National Park! Good Day Out has teamed up with Aberhyddnant Farm to create a completely new concept, which is more native than Llama Trekking and more fun than your average walk in the hills. Each sheep is fitted with its own little halter, and you will choose your own sheep from a small flock of especially trained Jacobs.

We took our three granddaughters on this adventure and they loved it.
We were led by Nicola who was very helpful and chatty telling us all about the sheep,
each sheep has its own personality and are very friendly. The walk took two hours to complete with a break/snacks halfway. The walk is uphill but not steep, boots or wellies are a must. We were a little worried that the youngest age 6 may not be able to manage a sheep ,but she was fine. This is a great day out for all ages, our age range is 6yrs to 70yrs .We all had a great time, and the children can't wait to go again.

Where do I start. From the moment we were greeted by the lovely Nicola who may I just say is a perfect host so great with people of all ages, to the moment we said our goodbyes 5 hours later which felt like it had been 20 mins, my day was just perfect. Having had our greeting drink round the farmhouse table and met the dogs Nicola began to inform us all of what lambing is all about and the different techniques used in order for a safe birth and a happy lamb. Having then told us that lambing at the moment was really slow I then became a little sad that I wouldn't experience it first hand. However 5 mins later we were heading up to the twins feild for the first birth. It was a bit of a difficult birth however Paul was on hand who is extremely calm and again such a lovely man. Having tugged for what felt like an age Rocky was born. What a relief, dream come true couldn't stop staring at what I'd help do. To be honest we did loads the rest of the day from meeting the pregnant cows to picking hen and duck eggs not to mention moving lambs and ewes to the relevant fields oh and of course a perfect homemade soup with cheeseboard and some delicious cakes for our lunch break. I could go on forever and will never forget my experience. Wish I could be involved more. Thank you again Nicola and Paul for an unforgettable day. Best of luck hope the little ones that were in the bottom shed are doing well that were due to go out in the feild today

I very much enjoyed my sheep shearing experience day. I had been so looking forward to doing this since booking in January for June 30th and it didn't disappoint. Everything was very relaxed with a very easy going approach and Paul the farmer and his family wanting us all (6 attendees) to really enjoy our day. We had a homemade organic lunch in the family farmhouse which as a working farm and home is not pristine but actually I liked that. I thoroughly enjoyed my day and am sorely tempted to book again.

Thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon walk with some beautiful Jacob sheep. History and information thrown in for good measure and a half way breather to enjoy some welsh hospitality. New additions to the flock of some real small cuties ideal for children ( or my husband😀). Scenery is stunning, even with the drizzle. Certainly an alternative hands on day out.

We had a fantastic time at the organic farm :) the staff were very friendly and the experience is very cool!! Getting up close and personal with lambs, cows, pigs and the Brecon countryside. We were successful and saw a lamb being born in one of the fields
Lovely lunch provided too.
Thanks for a lovely day and we will recommend you 100%
