This is a magnificently beautiful national park. Be sure to take plenty of time to stop and experience every pull out and turn. These trees are real national monuments. Enjoy the Avenue of the Giants!

Be sure to include a visit to this National Park. You will be amazed at these giant trees! I have visited a lot of the National Parks, and this is one of my favorites.

This is one of our favorite places to be when traveling around the country even though we have been here many times. It's so relaxing just driving along the highway inside the park and admire all these big old trees. Our Creator is truly amazing!...More

There is parking space inside the Red Wood Park.We went in a bus and it was parked inside the parking area.Washroom facility is not good. I have no idea about car rental company in that area.

All in all it will be a welcome reprieve from winter in Illinois LOL,have a great trip

Difficult to answe this question,---whether there will be snow in the forest or not.However chances are less in October.
