This hike I would rate at easy to moderate as there are quite a lot of switchbacks to handle the elevation change. That said with a an easy pace even families with young children should be able to handle it. Starts off relatively flat in...More

My husband and I hiked on a Thursday morning in July. It was so peaceful and quiet. We did not see many people on the trail. The trail was approximately 2.5 miles and took us about 1 hr 15 mins to complete with plenty of...More

This is a moderate loop, a little less than 3 miles. It is stunningly beautiful and our kids loved it. There was plenty of natural diversity along the trail and we really enjoyed our time here.

We did this hike early in the morning and there was nobody on the trail. It felt like we had the whole trail to ourselves that morning. Since this hike starts near Elk Meadows, we were a little delayed by movement of some of the...More

I'm so glad we continued and did the loop trail after arriving at the lovely little waterfall. The atmosphere in the forest here was really special. Trail is moderate, not too short, not too long. Not strenuous. Beautiful little hike.

We saw a very small waterfall just as the trail started but we were not aware this was it! We completed the hike with no other water to speak of. In spite of ghosts we enjoyed every minute nn

Fantastic trail! Small but lovely waterfall...the highlight is really the loop trail with the variety of plants and animals.

Unlike some other hikes, Trillium Falls has a mesmerizing mix of bright sun breaking through the canopy and the more typical cool shade under the big trees. I found it a wonderful contrast to other redwoods hikes. It's pretty easy going, not a lot of...More

We just happened upon this trail as we were heading to our hotel in Crescent City. I am so glad we stopped and took our time to check out this hike! We spent the whole day adventuring in the redwoods but this was our favorite...More
