Visited the garden with my mum. It is a lovely place. Work is still ongoing but it didn't spoil the visit. At full price it would have been a bit dear but with the gardeners world 2 for 1 deal it was a bargain. Coffee...More

We have been visiting Merriments for years, at different times of the year to see the seasonal changes. The gardens are looking very fresh and lemony-green this spring, but still with floral colour. Lots of works going on to improve the gardens and we noticed...More

The dramatic changes over the past four weeks are a credit to the incredible work of the dedicated staff. Gardens: cost £8 ish but, if you live with 30 minutes, get a season ticket. The changes over the past few weeks have been incredible. Despite...More

I have been visiting this nursery for over 20 years and have always loved the interesting and varied plants available. I visited it again today and as usual bought far more plants than I needed ! BUT I then made the mistake of having lunch...More

Arrived just as the garden centre was closing, was meeting my father for a cup of tea in the cafe and to pick up my children who had been staying with him for the weekend. As I drove into the car park a member of...More

Visited these gardens for the first time this year. They’re doing major changes and, due to saturated ground, a lot of the garden was cordoned off. This was a shame but at least they only charged half price entrance! When it has dried out and...More

This isn't a very big garden, but it's chock full of plants and, in the autumn, full of colour: the reds of the leaves, the yellows of the rudbeckias, the pinks of the Japanese anemones and cosmos offset by the waving fronds of the various...More

Great coffee, friendly staff , wide ranging menu. Then you have the RHS partner gardens, a true delight. Recently taken over garden centre and nursery with a great range of plants, many grown in site. Enough here to make a half day trip.

I visited here with my mother who has limited mobility. The way the garden snaked back on itself is very clever with very interesting planting in a relatively small space. Lots of places to sit down (essential!) We then had tea in the restaurant which...More

From the road Merriments looks a little like a used car lot with all the banners flying but once having parked up you enter the garden centre ,which has a nice restaurant/café. After refreshments you can buy a ticket to visit the garden and you...More
