Great coffee, friendly staff , wide ranging menu. Then you have the RHS partner gardens, a true delight. Recently taken over garden centre and nursery with a great range of plants, many grown in site. Enough here to make a half day trip.

I visited here with my mother who has limited mobility. The way the garden snaked back on itself is very clever with very interesting planting in a relatively small space. Lots of places to sit down (essential!) We then had tea in the restaurant which...More

On a damp and grey afternoon, we found the garden at Merriments to be full of interest and imaginative planting. It was our first visit but will not be our last. Strongly recommended. An attractive feature of the garden for those who cannot easily cope...More

Having had a pleasant and relaxed lunch in the restaurant at Merriments, I took my elderly mother around the gardens and we were both delighted to see the diverse selection of plants in this highly attractive setting. It's easy to see that this would be...More

This is not a big garden but should be accessible for all unless the ground is very wet and boggy. It has many areas to inspire your own plot or just gorgeous plants and garden birds to enjoy. So peaceful. The restaurant serves a good...More

Huge choice of plants, shrubs, trees and everything else for your garden. Prices a tad on the high side although the quality of the produce was there. On site restaurant and coffee shop too.

I have been going to Merriments a few times over the year and often pop in if I am visiting friends in Hawkhurst. The garden as ever is lovely and peaceful and the planting is definitely maturing and giving the garden focus and structure. Sadly...More

We've visited the garden and tearoom many times over the years. No complaints about the garden. I can see why people say that it's a showroom for the nursery but it's very well-executed in design terms and the colours are beautiful. I always particularly enjoy...More

Small nursery which hides some interesting gardens- lots of variety and gives you plenty of ideas to use at home. Excellent café for just a coffee or lunch- seemed very popular. Well worth a visit.

I've checked the website again. From the home page select garden and then select opening times which includes admission charges. There is a concessionary rate of £6.50. A few people have commented that the standard rate of... More
