Our Ipoh guide brought us here. There is an entrance fee; and the same aunty who collected the fee, also took some time to explain some of the artefacts. Like a standing fan that's over 100 years old and still functioning. If you're in your 50s, you will also appreciate the old typewriters, the old barber seats, the old F&N and other soft drink bottles, the old ice kachang machine (still used in some places today) etc etc. Amazed at the effort put in to build this museum which spreads over 2 floors, with an outdoor courtyard. First time visited gopeng heritage house will little fees paid. Worth every penny cent as feel appreciated with how the owner briefed us the history of this heritage house. Sad story is the inventor of this heritage house longer in this world. You can the all the generation photo at the entrance of the wall. Listened to the story how the inventor build and keep those antique furniture and others is interesting. Inclusive how he go find all the original woods ( more than 150 years old) and supervise the construction and design really impressed me. Hoping more visitors and the little muzium will maintained for next few generation. …

Happened upon this little museum while waiting to change buses, It is an immaculate old residence full of highly polished dark period furniture and extending over three levels. Unfortunately little in the way of information was to be found from any notices or from the attendants.

It's a private museum & better to make an appointment with them before visiting. Its not open all the while
