Well maintained and lovely views
Apr 2021 • Friends
We did the coastal walk to the lighthouse from the carpark near the general store, and back along the beach. Lighthouse was very well maintained and lovely to photograph.

Good views up and down the coast, especially in a lightning storm. Coastal walks and accommodation available in the lighthouse keepers houses.

Perfect weekend away
Aug 2020
We spent the weekend staying at the lovely Norah Head Lighthouse in the Assistant Lighthouse Keepers Cottage. Our hosts were great and provided all the information we needed. The accommodation is very well appointed with three spacious double bedrooms with extra single beds in each room. We made the most of the gas fire in the comfortable lounge room as the weather was quite cold during our stay. The sun managed to shine through when we wanted to go for a long walk around the foreshore. There were plenty of people about enjoying the sunshine. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery, cutlery and items needed for basic food preparation. We self catered for a few meals and had one dinner out at the lovely Ocean restaurant at The Entrance. Our only disappointment was that we didn't get to have a tour of the Lighthouse itself as COVID restrictions prohibited this. A big thanks to our host Tracy Stubbings.

A lovely walk
Jul 2020
Went to the lighthouse on a cold and windy day but found the walk to be very pleasant and easy. A warm sunny day would be so much more enjoyable.

Lovely lighthouse with tours
Mar 2020
This was a lovely lighthouse. After a short walk down to the lighthouse, you can get on a cheap historical guided tour run by a few volunteers.

Interesting tour. Friendly staff
Jan 2020 • Family
Tour was $20 for a family. Well worth it for our kids at 10 & 8 yrs old. They found it very interesting with lots of unique facts. Views extend south to Terrigal and north to Newcastle.
It’s a well kept lighthouse with an impressive light housing.
Get there at opening on weekends to avoid the crowd.

Beautiful lighthouse and view with an interesting historical tour
Jan 2020 • Family
Visited with extended family on a blustery grey day. It was wild and windy but the seascape was stunning. We enjoyed the historical tour (for a small fee) with a volunteer to show us the interior workings of the lighthouse (be prepared to climb narrow winding stairs). Our guide explained the local history as well as the lighthouse's history. Many fascinating maritime history artefacts to view as well. The views from the lighthouse are wonderful, however, if you're prone to feeling the cold bring a wind -proof jacket because it will be windy. It was extremely windy on our visit.
Norah Head is also beautiful and nice to explore when it's not experiencing extremely high winds.
