I took the Red Bull Ring tour and would recommend reserving a spot in advance as it does actually get busy. You get to watch a movie, see the media center, race control, VIP lounges, and the podium. You can also sit in a fake F1 car. Overall, nothing too crazy and a typical race track tour that I can recommend doing to get a bit of a behind the scenes tour. It's 20 Euros and you get a 10% discount voucher for the Red Bull Shop and there is also a small cafe.

First time ever we went to an F1 weekend in person.
The redbull ring is a great circuit in itself because of the many overtaking possibilities. The track is also great riding on my simulator at home. The F1 weekend in itself was a really great experience. There were many activities present and for 350 euros (weekend + camping) it was a good price.
Food and drink on the circuit is of course quite expensive. €4.50 for a bottle of water and €10 for a thin bratwurst is really a lot. Luckily you can bring your own drinks and food so be sure to do this!
If you are on the general admission as we are, keep in mind that it is a short 2-3km walk from the entrance to the place to watch.

We have visited the track for the Austrian F1 Grand Prix. It blew my mind. I knew this track is huge but I didnt expect it to be this big.
The walk from the parking lot (huge grass area) was around 25 minutes to get to the entrance and then it took us another 30 minutes to get to our seats.
It was an amazing experience I love Formula 1.
If you're visiting for events like this don't forget to bring a hat, suncream and water (or an emty bottle, you can refill it there for free). Also if you can afford it choose covered seats as it gets very hot during summer and there is not a lot of shade for you to hide in.

Often really bad experiences go on and on. I'll try to keep this very quick.
We signed up for an event and paid a large deposit in advance of our travel. There was a mistake by the Red Bull Ring and the event was not available. Twelve days before the event they returned our deposit less a non-trivial cancellation fee. Then three months later they aggressively reach out, threatening legal action, to collect the full fee for the event, saying we were a no show? They charged a cancellation fee, never confirmed, and no driving occurred. Their original demand was literally on a day we were not even in the country, so they picked an earlier day as the problem.
I am so angry at the way we have been treated I am considering looking into how to seek remedies in Austria, even if it is more expensive than the experience itself. These people are hugely lacking in logistical capability and then indignant that there is no way a mistake could have happened on their end. Be very careful, as the back office stinks.

We have been at every Moto GP since 2016 - partly with the whole family (now three adult children) and always on a camping pitch. The MotoGP event was always accompanied by fair prices in the early years - but what has taken place in the last three years in terms of price increases is simply outrageous and no longer bears any relation. Whether ticket prices or beverage prices e.g. a beer € 7,50 !!! last year € 6,50 - price increase 15% (!!!) The beer is carted from a few kilometers. Drink from own house - can € 4,50 - similar to water. The price increases for tickets have hovered at approx. 25 % (!!!!). You can't take anything on the ring anymore so that you can consume locally at horrendous prices. At the campsite, half a chicken with bread is charged € 14.50 (!!) - even at the overnight prices it gets the strongest. Many simply don’t participate anymore - the drinks and food stalls were this year more badly visited than ever before. No one is willing to go along with this rip-off anymore. Audiences continue to decline - no wonder, by 2025 there will probably be little more than 120,000. You can only congratulate the responsible lords on this pricing policy - you get the impression that only VIP guests and not the common foot people are welcome anyway. It’s all focused on maximizing profits – a pity it used to always be a great event. But it was specially emphasized that the ticket prices for 2025 were not increased - for laughs..
We will no longer visit the GP in Spielberg as we have the impression that we are no longer wanted.

As a long-time motorsport fan, I was really looking forward to the event weekend, but unfortunately my expectations were disappointed in many ways.
First of all, I would like to talk about the way visitors were treated. I cannot understand how people can be treated so disrespectfully in this day and age. Children were even denied water when they entered. This practice not only seems disproportionate, but also completely incomprehensible, especially given the often high temperatures during such events. The health and well-being of visitors should always be the highest priority.
I would also like to point out the prices of drinks that were charged during the event. I was shocked to learn that a single can of beer cost a whopping €6.50. This is completely out of proportion to the normal price of drinks in everyday life. Such a high price significantly limits the visitors' ability to get adequate supplies and raises the suspicion that excessive prices are being exploited to make a profit at the expense of the guests.
I would also like to address the sudden introduction of additional costs, which I had not seen before. The fact that visitors who arrived a day earlier and left a day later suddenly had to pay more than €200 per vehicle is unacceptable. Such additional fees should be communicated transparently to visitors in advance so that they can plan accordingly.
Another negative point was the condition of the sanitary facilities. These were dirty and filthy during my visit. Clean and hygienic sanitary facilities are of crucial importance for the well-being of visitors. Such a poor condition is not only unpleasant, but also a health risk.

My family gave me the driving experience Formula 4 / 10 laps on the south circuit as a gift for my big birthday in 2022. Apart from the fact that it is very difficult to get an appointment because they are announced at very short notice, I was particularly looking forward to finally being able to redeem the gift on March 24th, 2024. Uncertain, because the weather forecast was very bad on this Sunday in particular, only 8 degrees and sleet and rain showers, so seven of us started the journey because no information or cancellation was announced. It starts at 1:00 p.m. - briefing etc. - but we were already there at 10:30 a.m. and I went straight to register. And there was an extremely unfriendly lady who told me with an extremely cheeky indifference that it had just been decided 5 minutes ago that the Formula 4 driving experience was canceled due to the weather. So 3 hours of travel and 3 hours of travel home for 7 people are free! I would actually have expected a more professional organization at the Red Bull Ring. It is recommended that the team rethink the approach and not simply let the participants arrive for hours and then inform them on site with such indifference that the appointment has been canceled. It would make a lot of sense to think about it the day before at the latest and send a cancellation to the participants. For us, this approach was extremely disappointing and unprofessional!!!!

No one clearly said that I would be driving not 1 hour and 2 hours but 0,5 and 1 hour, so only half time of what stated on the website - because there is another person who would be driving the same car and would change with you.
The tiny hidden sentence on the website is formulated unclear on purpose I think.
It is not fair to pay the full price and is not clearly stated on purpose.

It's all designed for profit. The Pitwalk now costs 30€ and is limited to only a few tickets. Otherwise you can't see anything from the track on Thursday. Prices for food and drinks are different. A bratwurst 8€ or 1 can Heinicken 7,50€...a cheek.
It is also now forbidden to bring alcoholic beverages onto the standing areas. A bolter cart is also forbidden, so you have to carry your chair, umbrella, etc. everything. All fences are closed with privacy screens, you see almost nothing.
Drivers can only be found in the fan zone between seasons. So you have to decide whether you want to get a good seat or see a driver.
It's a pity that everything is taken away from the fans. For me it was the last time here at an F1 event.

We visited the MTGP on Sunday and, like every year, brought our own food. At the entrance, we were rudely told to open our backpacks to see if we had any alcoholic drinks with us! If you want to go onto the grounds, you have to throw away any alcoholic drinks! Many of the people didn't know that you're not allowed to bring your own beer etc., and there was nothing about it on the Red Bull website either. In any case, that was our last MTGP, as I have no interest in being treated rudely and being forced to pay €6.50 for a beer from a plastic cup on the ring grounds!

Hi all, this will be my first Spielberg experience. I booked for campsite blue. Do you have any recommendations for me? I will rent a car, what should I bring with me? As I have limited space on my flight, should I rent any camping tools/chairs tent? Are we allowed to bring drinks? Any tips and tricks would be helpful. Thanks a lot!

Hello Stephan!
We're happy to hear you want to experience Formula 1 at the Red Bull Ring next year!
If you buy tickets without a sector/seat description you will still have your own seats reserved only for you.
So no worries, you don't have to be here earlier in order to get a nice seat! :)
