This is not a re-created village.....it stands as it was built with the exception of the agricultural museum. It's one of the few like left in North America. It's a great place for the entire family to visit, again and again.

This settlement goes back to the early 1800's. There are many original tools, bldgs., & other associated articles. There are houses and barns to tour and is a great educational experience for the kids.

Well worth the stop and nominal fee. Shoulder season (Sept) but still most enjoyable. General Store Proprietor in character as well as Blacksmith/Shop and Bakery Lady/Server in the Meeting Hall. Unfortunately we had a time constraint to our visit as we were heading on to...More

A “museum village”, not a former living community as implied. Really has only about 6 significant structures. Actually the most interesting part is the agricultural museum, albeit much of the equipment is inadequately labeled.
