Found an old postcard in a shop while touring around Norway, and from that my family found our way there for the night. Magnificent view and location, and natural, It felt like going to Yellowstone in the 1800s, before anyone knew it was there. Was there in the 1990s and not in 2016, but the view has not changed.

Impressive 180 meter waterfall, best view was from the platform nearby the hotel, away from the tour bus on the other side of the valley. Will give you the best view on the waterfall across the valley, but also to be very close-by some smaller water streams.

The waterfall is probably the best thing to see in the Eidfjord area. We parked by the Overlook hotel and got a great view of the fjord and the waterfall. We then drove down and parked off the side of the ride, near where the tunnel entrance is, and hiked along the base of the valley. It was a slightly... More

Extremely spectacular waterfall set amidst rugged mountain scenery. Among the top 5 things I've ever seen. Not as much water as Niagara but in the middle of nowhere so somehow more impressive. Even the thunderous roar is worth the trip, let alone the view.

Great view of waterfall! Worth seeing, not much else to do or see though, so don't plan to spend any longer than 15 minutes here.

Great views but not much water at this time of year! Shame there is always one idiot that still has to climb over the safety fence to get "that" picture. Well worth the visit!!

You can not travel the RV7 route over the Hardangervidda without stopping here. The view is breathtaking and this is the essence of the fjords and mountains. But be careful. On the lower platform there are no safety fences so I would recommend going to the upper platform by the hotel.

Voringfossen looked its best after rain with two streams falling with more force and spraying mist at the bottom!

A popular spot, though out of the way. Hike up the side of the falls if you are able. From down toward the bottom experience several steps in the falls. If it is busy it is difficult to get photos without the brightly clad tourists adding color and the selfies in front of the falls do not enhance the experience.... More

great short hike, but go all the way to the spray of the water fall - although it is very slippery at the end
