Lovely sight from above and below

The waterfall is probably the best thing to see in the Eidfjord area. We parked by the Overlook hotel and got a great view of the fjord and the waterfall. We then drove down and... read more

The waterfall is probably the best thing to see in the Eidfjord area. We parked by the Overlook hotel and got a great view of the fjord and the waterfall. We then drove down and parked off the side of the ride, near where the tunnel entrance is, and hiked along the base of the valley. It was a slightly... More

Extremely spectacular waterfall set amidst rugged mountain scenery. Among the top 5 things I've ever seen. Not as much water as Niagara but in the middle of nowhere so somehow more impressive. Even the thunderous roar is worth the trip, let alone the view.

Great view of waterfall! Worth seeing, not much else to do or see though, so don't plan to spend any longer than 15 minutes here.

Great views but not much water at this time of year! Shame there is always one idiot that still has to climb over the safety fence to get "that" picture. Well worth the visit!!

You can not travel the RV7 route over the Hardangervidda without stopping here. The view is breathtaking and this is the essence of the fjords and mountains. But be careful. On the lower platform there are no safety fences so I would recommend going to the upper platform by the hotel.

Voringfossen looked its best after rain with two streams falling with more force and spraying mist at the bottom!

A popular spot, though out of the way. Hike up the side of the falls if you are able. From down toward the bottom experience several steps in the falls. If it is busy it is difficult to get photos without the brightly clad tourists adding color and the selfies in front of the falls do not enhance the experience.... More

great short hike, but go all the way to the spray of the water fall - although it is very slippery at the end

When we arrived the cloud and mist were covering, however by the time we had tea at the hotel the clouds lifted long enough to get some fab pictures. Bit of a dodgy walk to falls- slippery and narrow but worth it!

On our drive of Hardangervidda, we stopped at the Voringsfossen waterfalls. We walked on the concrete path next to the highway to see the view. Next to the car park we followed the left and right walking trail to check out the views close to the edge of the cliff. We also drove to Fossli Hotel to see the views... More
