Tyrers was a department store in St.Helens with a variety of clothing, shoes, cosmetics etc. Some of which could normally only be purchased in local cities. It sadly closed some months ago

Tyrers ceased business in January 2016.It was so sad to pass the iconic doorway recently (April 2016)and see it full of homeless people sheltering from the rain.

There wasn't many classic stores like this left and now it has closed we will miss calling in to the restaurant on a Saturday and picking up presents for family and friends, shopping in St. Helens just won't be the same
