Stunning roman ruins. The museum next to it is a great piece of architecture and the exhibition bits really well presented.

It was very surprising to find this Roman Theatre so well preserved in a place little known to us. A visit to Merida is a must.

Very impressive and well signed described / informative site Worth noting if you are there for a couple of days you can get a 15€ ticket per person To visit the whole Merida town Roman sites This one costs 12€ They won't advise as lack of English spoken

The ancient site of Merida is a highly recommended tourist attraction. The site is in pretty good condition compared to other ancient Roman sites.. Keep in mind that this site was not destroyed by an earthquake but rather by the hand of modern man.

Fantastic site, worth the trip to Merida. Buy the ticket that includes all the sites in Merida. Really impressive! Not super crowded with tourists like Rome, Italy.

Mandatory visit for adults and kids alike. The roman experience in the Iberia Peninsula is greatly understood in such well preserved remnants. Self guided tours possible.

Amazingly well preserved area which is a must-see in Merida. I believe plays etc. are sometimes staged here which must be a fantastic experience.

This beautiful ruin of the theater really gives you an idea of what it would have been like back when it when was new. Amazing to see the size of the stands as well as the stage. Nice to walk around and see the original stones and walkways used all those years ago.

I have recently visited Rome and the ruins here wouldn't be out of place there. Really very interesting.

If you're in Merida this is truly a must and it's truly probably the reason you're going there in the 1st place.
