Very informative museum telling the story of thise fleeing the Netherlands by many varied and hazardous ways. Well presented and great standard of English. Only the central display cases don't have English
I knew a lot about escape lines but nothing about sailing or canoeing across the Norrh Sea, incredible stories we'll told.
Well worth a visit and my teenage daughter who is not really into military history enjoyed the time with spent there
Definitely worth a visit

A very well put together exhibit in a quiet area. Exhibit was modern and clean with lots of interactive elements. Location provides quick access to the beach after the museum.

Small but full of histories well said. You won't get bored even if history is not your thing. Materials well prepared in English version as well.

If you want to get a very good inside view of what the Engelandvaarders drove to go to England in various and dangerous ways, this museum will surely not disappoint you!

Bilingual mostly, Dutch and English, but some stuff is only in Dutch. Touching true stories. Movie parts too with the 'Orange Soldier' and the Dutch queen in a car. The museum is not very big or modern.

The museum which was originally set up by two Germans is situated in an old nuclear bunker near the beach in Noordwijk. In the dunes are underground gangways which were in the war connected to the bunkers near the beach to stop an invasion. The museum gives a very good impression how it was to try to get to England by boat in the war. Can recommend a vistit, its absolutly worthwhile to visit the museum.

A wonderful addition to the history of World War 2, superbly presented and providing touching accounts of those involved, including my father's experiences escaping the Germans and fighting with the Allied forces. Definitely worth a visit.

Myself, my mother and sister came to visit this Museum, to learn more about my Grandfather who was an Engelandvaarder himself. This Museum is full of information and details that helped us as a family build more of a picture of my Grandfathers life during that time. We will definitely come back and would recommend this Museum to everybody.

Interesting couple of hours learning how people tried to escape, mainly across the North Sea, during the war and what they went on to do to support the war effort.

A gem. A five-minute walk north from the town centre along the beach road brings you to this terrific museum. It has been skilfully put togethe and includes some terrific audiovisuals. It tells the story of Dutch men who attempted to escape to England during the Second World War and the immense dangers that they faced. A very moving account and very well put together. Should not be missed by anyone remotely interested in 20th-century history
